Oulbury’s supernatural species were created specifically for the island: not borrowed from a generic fantasy setting. Each has its own origins, abilities, limitations, and place within the town’s history. They were designed to preserve Oulbury’s grounded atmosphere, where every gift carries a cost and the supernatural is something to fear, conceal, or survive.

Regular in-character events move the story forward, while out-of-character gatherings, festivals, live performances, and community activities give everyone space to connect beyond roleplay.

Somewhere between the coast of Canada and the British Isles lies Oulbury: an isolated island governed by its own laws and connected to the outside world by a ferry that crosses only when the fog allows.
Settled in 1405, Oulbury exists in the present day, but isolation has left the town suspended somewhere between decades. Old traditions survive beside modern life, ancient Orders preserve rituals few fully understand, and supernatural beings live among those who would fear them, worship them, or destroy them.Beneath the town’s quiet routines, loyalties are shifting.
The Orders disagree over what must be protected. The supernatural struggle with secrecy and survival. And something within the fog is beginning to disturb the fragile balance that has kept Oulbury alive.
Every character arrives with a past. What they choose here becomes part of the island’s future.

Oulbury runs on a custom HUD created specifically for its world. It brings character identity, roleplay discovery, progression, dice, travel, and support together in one place. Giving players the tools they need without pulling them out of the story.

YOUR TOWN RECORD
‍The bar at the top of the HUD represents your character’s place within Oulbury. Reputation and experience are combined into one progression system, allowing the town to remember your participation, accomplishments, and growing connection to the island.

CHARACTER
Create, save, and switch between up to three different characters from the same account. Each character keeps their own identity and custom titler, allowing you to enter Oulbury as someone entirely different whenever the story calls for it.

RP PING
Let other residents know when you are available to roleplay. Activate your RP Ping when you are looking for a scene, then turn it off whenever you would rather explore the island privately.

PROGRESS
Open your character’s progression panel to view their current standing, completed milestones, earned rewards, and what they are working toward next.

DICE
Resolve uncertainty without interrupting the scene. The built-in d20 system can be used for challenges, investigations, risky decisions, event mechanics, or any moment when the outcome should be left to chance.

TRAVEL
Access Oulbury’s movement tools from a single menu. Return to your saved home, follow Destiny, or use the travel routes available across the island and its connected worlds.

REPORT
Send a problem directly to the Oulbury team without searching through external menus. Use it to report technical issues, request assistance, or alert staff when something needs attention.
